Born of an idea to harvest the goodness of organic high altitude mountain honey, Tauhali honey uses only the most natural methods to harvest its honey. There is no intervention with the harvest process and the sugar levels are not changed in any way, which is what gives our honey the diverse tastes that range from mild and citrusy to very sweet and smoky.

We pride ourselves in the bio-diversity in our area: our apiaries are in a region rich in diverse flora, from the peach trees to be found in local orchards to the aloe vera plants that grown prolifically in the area. Sagewoods and pine trees lend their unique fragrances and saps to the flavours to be found in our honey.

Lavendars, roses, zinnias offer their scents to the abundance of floral notes in our products, and the late harvest produce gives more subtle and less sweet flavours, with grainy textures from the peas, pumpkins, butternut and zucchini that grow abundantly in our surrounds.

We proudly laud our produce for being derived from indigenous healing plants such as the Aloe, which gives one of our more popular products, not only its intensely dark colour but also its medicinal properties.

As we continue to work with other beekeepers in our area, we hope to expand our product range to bring you even more diversity from our apiaries in the Mountain Kingdom.
